Russian Tourists Up On Last year
Cyprus’ revenue from tourism rose 4.2 percent in May, boosted by an almost 43 percent increase in Russian tourists for the month.
Tourist spending in May increased to 164.8 million euros ($202.4 million) from 158.1 million euros a year earlier, the country’s statistical service said Wednesday on its web site.
May is the second month in 2010 to show a rise in tourist spending on a yearly basis. Russian tourists spent an average of 93.4 euros a day, up from 91.4 euros last year.
